Application to update excise goods data
This service involves the receipt of applications to update excise goods data
Service Conditions
- Anyone who deals in excise goods (importer of a product or a store) can submit a request to update its information even if he is not registered for excise purposes. and device approval of the request.
Required Attachments
To update the data of selective goods of the legal person:
- Copy of the list of goods to be updated, including details of each product (trademark, name of product, unit size and updated retail price)
- Exclusive agent authorisation letter from the manufacturer
- Letter specifying the date of changing sale price, specifying the date the new retail price applied by local distributors

Service Processes
- Submit the application and required documents by email to excise@nbr.gov.bh
- If the data update application is approved, a specific code for each item will be issued. In all cases, the applicant will be notified of an approval or rejection
- A decision will be made regarding the application within 30 days of submission. Failure to reply within this period is considered a rejection of the application
