Apply for an Information Certificate

Required Attachments

  • Letter requested from the owner / letter from the engineering office
  • Copy of the ownership deed/ ownership contract/ legal obligation / approval and copies of the ID cards of the heirs / power of attorney
  • Copy of ID card/ Copy of Commercial Registration Record
  • Registration form from the engineering office with the Engineering Professions Practice Committee (if Submit request by the engineering office)
  • Geometric drawings of horizontal points and facades (according to the applicant)
  • Other approvals, if necessary, include approval:
  • A: Culture and Antiquities Authority
  • B: Real estate developer
  • C: Ministry of Finance

Legal Regulations

  • Decree-Law No. (13) of 1977 promulgating the Building Regulations Law
  • Amendments to some provisions of the Building Regulations Law
  • Decisions issued by the committees formed by ministerial resolutions, including the committee in charge of projects with a special nature, the Committee in charge of Grievances against decisions of building permits, and the Committee in charge of Grievances against urban planning decisions
  • decisions issued by the Urban Planning and Development Authority.
  • all resolutions issued by the Council of Ministers, His Excellency the Minister, the Municipal Council, and service entities related to building permits
  • Resolution No. (76) of 2018 promulgating the regulatory requirements that should be applied to housing projects.
  • Resolution of the head of the Central Municipal Authority to issue the executive bylaws for Decree-Law No. (13) for the regulations of buildings

Fees

  • 15 BD for residential-rated properties : 50% of the fee is paid upon application
  • 30 BD for investment-rated properties : 50% after the application is certified and issued

Service Processes

  • An information certificate application (owner or acting on behalf ) is submitted through the electronic building permits system
  • Ensure the validity of the application and the necessary documents by the building permit specialist
  • Down payments
  • Study of application by engineer
  • If approved, the attestation of the application will be completed.
  • Final electronic payment
  • Issuing the license
  • In case of disapproval, the application is rejected and the owner will be notified
