Permission to Discharge Water into the Drainage Network

The Agricultural Engineering and Water Resources Directorate provides the service of allowing the discharge of land water resulting from private and public construction and maintenance works in case there is a nearby agricultural drainage network that is in a good condition and that can accommodate the additional flow quantities.

Service Conditions

  • All documents must be signed and stamped by the owner of the company or the owner of the project in case he / she is from the private sector

Required Attachments

  • Submit a letter and fill in the request form (available on the Ministry’s website)
  • A map showing the work site and all the details related to the water to be discharged into the network (amount of water, water source, water type, service duration, connection location).
  • An overview of the project
  • A written pledge by the applicant to install water filter tanks and take other permits related to road works and laying pipes. The pledge should also include carrying out the maintenance of the entire drainage after discharging the designated amounts of water, and develop an alternative plan to immediately stop the service in case there are any defects in the network, according to the evaluations of the Directorate of Agricultural Engineering and Water Resources.
