Approval of an inflatable life raft service station

Issuance of a certificate for the approval of service stations for the inspection and maintenance of inflatable life rafts, in accordance with the requirements of the SOLAS Convention.

Required Attachments

  • Application form
  • A copy of the Commercial Registration certificate
  • A clear outline of the service station on A3 paper or a PDF file indicating the details and main dimensions of the service station
  • A list of services to be provided and type of life rafts to be serviced (manufacturer, trademark/brand, and type)
  • List of service prices
  • A letter of authorization from the manufacturer specifying the type authorized to be serviced
  • A life raft checklist approved by the manufacturer or part of a life raft maintenance manual issued by the manufacturer
  • Clear CO2 cylinder leak test procedures
  • List of technicians
  • Training certificates of the technicians
  • List of equipment and tools in the service station (workshop) and the relevant calibration certificates
  • A sample life raft service certificate attesting that a life raft has been inspected and tested
  • Service log
  • The approval of relevant authorities
