Exchange of a property contract

This service is provided by the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments to individuals seeking to officially authenticate property exchange contracts.

Required Attachments

  • Original title deeds which must be free from any obligations.
  • Original passport or the Identity Card (passport for foreign nationals)
  • If one of the parties is an entity, the memorandum of association, an extract of the Commercial Registration details and the decision of the board of directors or partners
  • The original powers of attorney if the representation is by proxy and in the event of foreign powers of attorney, the documents must be notarized at the Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or with an “Apostille” stamp

Legal Regulations

  • ministerial Resolution No. (28) of 2021 regarding the procedures for prohibiting and combating money laundering and terrorist financing, the illegal transfer of funds across borders in notary work, audit oversight and control and prohibiting dealing with terrorist individuals or entities.
  • Decree-Law No. (14) of 1971 regarding notarization

  • 10 BD : for each additional copy
