Certificate of attestation of documents

Issue a certificate demonstrating prior attestation from the Notary Directorate.

Required Attachments

  • Original passport or Identity Card
  • The original power of attorney if the attendee is the agent.
  • The original powers of attorney if the representation is by proxy and in the event of foreign powers of attorney, the documents must be notarized at the Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or with an Apostille stamp
  • Completed “Know Your Customer” form

The applicant:

  • One of the parties mentioned in the notarized document should attend in person to be issued a copy
  • If the applicant is an entity, the memorandum of association, the Commercial Registration details, and the decision of the board of directors or partners

Legal Regulations

  • ministerial Resolution No. (28) of 2021 regarding the procedures for prohibiting and combating money laundering and terrorist financing, the illegal transfer of funds across borders in notary work, audit oversight and control and prohibiting dealing with terrorist individuals or entities.
  • Decree-Law No. (14) of 1971 regarding notarization

  • Book an appointment through WhatsApp via 35436743 for all general notarization transactions and via 35436744 for all real estate notarization transactions
  • Visit the head office of the Notary Directorate
  • Register the transaction
  • Pay the fees, and notarize the document
