Power of attorney to manage a retail shop
A power of attorney, notarized by the individual enterprise owner, granting powers of disposition and management to the agent.
Required Attachments
- Approval of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism
- Original passport or Identity Card (passport for foreign nationals)
- Commercial Registration of the sole proprietorship and its registry status
- If one of the parties is an entity, the memorandum of association, an extract of the Commercial Registration details and the decision of the board of directors or partners
- The original powers of attorney if the representation is by proxy and in the event of foreign powers of attorney, the documents must be notarized at the Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or with an “Apostille” stamp
- Completed “Know Your Customer” form

- Decree-Law No. (14) of 1971 regarding notarization
- ministerial Resolution No. (28) of 2021 regarding the procedures for prohibiting and combating money laundering and terrorist financing, the illegal transfer of funds across borders in notary work, audit oversight and control and prohibiting dealing with terrorist individuals or entities.
