Acknowledgment of no existing liabilities owing to the owners’ association

A notarized acknowledgment between two parties (the seller and the buyer) confirming that the apartment has no financial liabilities associated with the owner’s association, and the new buyer acknowledges that.

Required Attachments

  • Copy of the sales contract stated in the acknowledgment
  • Original passport or Identity Card
  • If one of the parties is an entity, they must provide the memorandum of association, an extract of the Commercial Registration details, and the decision of the board of directors or partners
  • The original powers of attorney if the representation is by proxy and in the event of foreign powers of attorney, the documents must be notarized at the Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs, or with an “Apostille” stamp

  • ministerial Resolution No. (28) of 2021 regarding the procedures for prohibiting and combating money laundering and terrorist financing, the illegal transfer of funds across borders in notary work, audit oversight and control and prohibiting dealing with terrorist individuals or entities.
