Granting and renewing licenses for family counseling offices

Service Conditions

• Fulfilling all conditions required for licensing family counseling centers according to the provisions of Resolution No. (26) of 2017 regarding the conditions and procedures for licensing family counseling centers.

Required Attachments

Second: If the applicant is a natural person:

• A copy of the university qualification in the field of psychology or one of its branches or its equivalent, certified by the relevant authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Copies of the license holder’s experience certificates of no less than 5 years in the same field.
• ID card copy of the license applicant (Not less than 27 years of age).
• A certificate of good conduct for the license applicant.
• Curriculum Vitae (CV).

• A copy of the license applicant’s passport.

Thirdly: If the applicant is a legal person:

• Submitting evidence of the approval of the registered entity
• A copy of the center director’s ID card.
• A copy of the center director’s passport.
• Fill out Application form for a license to establish and operate Family Guidance Centers , View Document
• A copy of the bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in the field of psychology or one of its branches for the director of the center, its branches or its equivalent, certified by the relevant authority, the concerned authority in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
• Copies of the center director’s experience certificates of no less than 5 years in the same field.
• A certificate of good conduct for the center director.
• CV of the center's director.

First: License/renewal application form:

• Fill out the initial information attached with the application form for licensing (attached).
• A copy of the previous licensing decision (if it is a renewal application).

Legal Regulations

• Law No. 17 of 2015 regarding protection from domestic violence
• Resolution No. (26) of 2017 regarding the conditions and procedures for licensing family guidance centers
• Resolution No. 7 of 2017 regarding authorizing some employees of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development with the capacity of judicial control officers.
