Required Attachments

Request for the Ordinary General Assembly Meeting:

  • A request letter in this regard at least fifteen days prior to the meeting, signed by the president or his deputy.
  • A copy of the invitation letter addressed to the members.
  • The meeting agenda signed by the president or his deputy.
  • A financial report: if revenues or expenses exceed ten thousand Bahraini Dinars, a report signed by the president (or his deputy) and the financial secretary shall be submitted by a certified public accountancy office
  • The literary (administrative) report, signed by the president (or his deputy) and the secretary.
  • A list of the members of the General Assembly who have the right to vote, signed by the president (or his deputy), the secretary, and the financial secretary.

Request to hold an extraordinary general assembly meeting:

  • A request letter in this regard signed by the president or his deputy.
  • A list of the members of the General Assembly signed by the president (or his deputy), the secretary, and the financial secretary.

  • Resolution No. (4) of 2007 regarding the Model Regulations for the Statute of Societies and Social and Cultural Clubs under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development
  • Decree-Law No. 21 on Social and Cultural Associations and Clubs, Special Committees Working in the Field of Youth and Sports, and Private Foundations
  • Legislative Decree No. 24 of 2000 issuing the Cooperatives Law.

Service Processes

  • The application is submitted through the NGOs’ website, and is assigned to the competent employee by the system
  • An application to hold a General Assembly Meeting to elect a Board of Directors is reviewed by the competent employee. If the review is completed and the requirements are met, the applicant is given a letter of approval of signatures.
  • An application to hold an extraordinary General Assembly Meeting is reviewed by the competent employee. If the review is completed and the requirements are met, the decision is signed by His Excellency the Minister and sent to the Legislative and Legal Opinion Authority for publication in the Official Gazette.
