Request to open a bank account for a newly established association/club

After the association or club is registered, publicized in the Official Gazette, and has convened its first founding meeting, all documents and the name of the bank the association wishes to open its account with must be submitted to the Ministry.

Service Conditions

  • Existence of a valid board of directors

Required Attachments

  • A request letter and the name of the bank signed by the president or his deputy.
  • A copy of the minutes of the most recent General Assembly meeting including the election or recommendation of the Board of Directors of the association, and signed by the president (or his deputy) and the secretary.
  • A copy of the minutes of the meeting of the Board of Directors including the distribution of administrative positions, signed by the president (or his deputy) and the secretary.
  • A copy of the ID cards or proof of identity for all members of the new Board of Directors.
  • If a representative did not attend the meeting, an ordinary General Assembly meeting form should be filled out and signed by the president (or his deputy) and the secretary
  • The attendance sheet signed by the attendees and stamped with the seal of the association

  • Resolution No. (4) of 2007 regarding the Model Regulations for the Statute of Societies and Social and Cultural Clubs under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development
  • Decree-Law No. 21 on Social and Cultural Associations and Clubs, Special Committees Working in the Field of Youth and Sports, and Private Foundations
  • Legislative Decree No. 24 of 2000 issuing the Cooperatives Law.
