Request for registration and declaration of a civil organization
When individuals apply to register an association or club, they are given a form which contains the requirements to register
Service Conditions
- Provide the required documents in the form on the ministry’s website
- Apply for NGOs license registration application form.
- A copy of an approved founders’ founding committee meeting minutes report.
- A copy of the founders’ ID card or passport for non-Bahrainis only.
- A copy of the statute in Arabic, provided that it includes the provisions contained in Article (5) of the law.
Required Attachments
- A copy of the minutes of the Founders’ Committee meeting, indicating the founders’ names, occupations, places of residence, and signatures. The document should be dated before the application letter, and must be signed by all founders
- A letter addressed to the Director of National Centre for NGO’s Support applying for registration and specifying who represents the Founding Committee. The letter should reflect what was agreed in the minutes of the Founding Committee meeting, and must be signed by the representative of the founding committee.
- Fill in a registration form signed by the representative of the founding committee.
- A detailed list of founders’ names, titles, ages, nationalities, occupations and places of residence. The number of founders must not be less than ten persons. Copies of the ID cards or passports of the founders must be enclosed.
- Two Arabic copies of the organization’s statute signed by all founders. The statute must be prepared in accordance with the by laws of the ministry.
- A separate address for the society/social club/private organization should be specified (this will be requested later)
- If the application is for a private organization, 50 authentication papers from the Notary Office of the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs, and Waqf are required (this will be requested later)
- A bank statement indicating the capital of the society/social club/private organization. The bank will be approached by the Ministry about opening an account (this will be requested later)
- Payment of registration fees (10 Bahraini Dinars)

- Resolution No. (4) of 2007 regarding the Model Regulations for the Statute of Societies and Social and Cultural Clubs under the supervision of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development
- Decree-Law No. 21 on Social and Cultural Associations and Clubs, Special Committees Working in the Field of Youth and Sports, and Private Foundations
