Provision of prosthetic devices and aids for people of determination
Provide prosthetic devices for people of determination, by examining requests in a special committee. The committee will include officials and specialists from the Ministry as well as an occupational therapist from the Ministry of Health. Devices and aids will be provided to eligible individuals based on the criteria and requirements set by the committee.
Service Conditions
- The applicant must be approved among the beneficiaries of the disability allowance.
- The applicant must submit a medical report for the degree of hearing in relation to the request for a hearing aid, and in the case of requesting a device with special specifications, the professional treatment report should be attached.
- A 2 years to be passed since the re-application of a new request for prosthetic devices available in the Ministry’s stores, and four years have passed since the request for prosthetic devices with special specifications.
Required Attachments
- A recent occupational therapy report from Salmaniya Medical Complex for special wheelchair requests.
- A recent medical report on the degree of hearing, issued less than two years ago, for hearing aid requests.
- The monthly income of the beneficiary of the service / whatever type of income (data from the commercial records of the applicant or his/her family members in case of not working).

- Resolution No. 58 of 2016 regarding the committee in charge of deciding on requests for providing prosthetic devices and aids for people with disabilities.
- Law No. 74 of 2006 on the welfare, rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities.
