Free rehabilitation service in Community rehabilitation centers and mobile units supported by the Ministry

The Academic Rehabilitation Grants Program is delivered jointly by the Ministry of Labour and Social Development and the heads of the boards of directors of the NGOs responsible for the twelve community centers supporting the disabled. Disbursement is based on approved criteria and requirements according to the type of disability and the number of beneficiaries in each center.

Service Conditions

  • Registration by visiting the civil centers and submitting an application to join the qualifying program

Required Attachments

  • The applicant must be Bahraini, or the child of a Bahraini mother who is permanently residing in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
  • The applicant must be free from contagious and communicable diseases.
  • The applicant should have the minimum ability to learn. He / She must not be behaviorally disturbed.
  • The applicant must have a disability with an approved medical report.
  • The applicant’s family should wish to benefit from the center’s programs and services.

Legal Regulations

  • Law No. 74 of 2006 on the welfare, rehabilitation and employment of persons with disabilities.
