Compensation for house fire
This financial compensation is disbursed to its beneficiaries in accordance with the Council of Ministers’ Resolution No. (01-1839) of 2005 on compensation for families with limited income in the event of a house fire
Service Conditions
- The applicant must be Bahraini (and the Bahraini children of a foreign mother).
- The dwelling is not insured.
- His income with his wife does not exceed 1500 dinars per month.
- When the house is registered in the name of the heirs, the income of the resident whose name is mentioned in the report is required.
- Bring the amount of income from commercial records, if any.
- No more than 6 months have passed since the date of the fire.
- You can apply to register a service request even after the completion of the home renovation, if photographs showing the damages are provided. In the absence of photos, compensation will be made according to the report of the Civil Defense
- These amounts are paid only once to the affected person, unless there is another fire incident at the same address

- Bring the original fire report issued by the General Directorate of Civil Defense
- Copies of the ID cards of the applicant and those residing with him/her
- Statement of receipt or non-receipt of retirement pensions
- Copies of salary certificates of the applicant and his wife
- Statement of amount of income from commercial records, if any
- The applicant’s original bank statement including the international bank account number (IBAN)
- Copy of the Electricity and Water bill
- Pictures of the fire, if any

Service Processes
- Apply for house fire compensation at the Social Center - presence in person is required
- In order to determine the percentage of compensation, the application, after registration in the electronic system, is presented to the decision-making committee which issues its decision using the civil defense report, the recommendations of the social researcher expressed in his/her report after conducting a field visit to the house exposed to the fire, supported by pictures that show the effects of the fire on the house.
- With the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic and the implementation of precautionary measures, applications for house fire compensations were accepted via the official emails of the social centers as displayed on the official website and the other communication channels of the Ministry of Labor and Social Development
