Joining elderly day care institutions

Official application for the elderly to join one of the day institutions for parental care located in residential the four governorates of the Kingdom of Bahrain, to benefit from their educational and rehabilitation programs to improve their quality of life.

Service Conditions

  • The elderly must be a Bahraini Citizen.
  • The elderly age must not be less than 60 years old.
  • The elderly must be free from mental disorders.
  • The elderly must be free from infectious diseases.
  • The elderly must not be registered in another day care institutes.

Required Attachments

  • Fill out the application form.
  • Copy of ID card

Legal Regulations

  • Executive Bylaw No. 1 of 2011, regarding Law No. 58 on the Rights of the Elderly.
  • Resolution No. 9 of 2013 on the establishment of an office for the elderly services
  • Law No. (58) of 2009 on the rights of the elderly, and its executive bylaw issued in Resolution No. (1) of 2011
  • Executive by law No. (1) of 2011, Law No. (58) of 2009 on the rights of the elderly.

Service Processes

  • Fill in the application form to join the elderly day care centre
  • Attach proof that the applicant is free of contagious diseases and mental illnesses.
  • Notify the applicant by phone that their application has been successful or unsuccessful, providing an explanation of the reasons behind this decision
  • Ensure that the applicant is not officially registered with another elderly day care centre
