Workload
Employers who are eligible to apply through this service are the employers who own establishments that entered the Bahrainization zone. Through this service, employers can request to: 1.Increase the Maximum Ceiling: The maximum ceiling is the number allowed for an establishment to hire expatriate employees. The clients can request to increase the maximum ceiling by providing the required documents (Listed in Required Documents Section) and to be evaluated by LMRA based on the workload proofs provided. 2.Remove Workload Alert: The alerts are notifications with specific code number raised by LMRA against the establishments which indicates that some rules and procedures are not followed or requests for clarification. Clients can request to clear the alerts raised by providing the required documents (Listed in Required Documents Section) and to be evaluated by LMRA based on the workload proofs provided. 3.Change Work Permit Type to Inside and Outside the Kingdom: Based on previous evaluation and indicators shown by establishments, LMRA has the authority to change the work permit type allowed to be eligible for inside the Kingdom only (Local). Clients can request to change the work permits type to be eligible for inside and outside the Kingdom (Normal) by providing the required documents (Listed in Required Documents Section) and to be evaluated by LMRA based on the workload proofs provided
Required Attachments
- Recent 3 months Bank Statement of the establishment (no older than 6 months)
- Photos for the establishment from outside and inside
Proof of work volume (Depends on the activity type), example:
- Retail import and export sector: Invoices of imported products from outside Bahrain, supported by the customs invoices.
- Construction sector: Awarded projects contracts supported with construction permits.
- Transportation sector: Vehicles ownership owned by the company.
- Loading and unloading activities: Customs papers verifying the shipment of goods.
- Manpower Agencies: A copy of licensing certificate/ valid contracts, Receipts, vehicle ownership of the agency, the approved manpower supply record..etc./ Ministry of Health certificate (letter) for the housing capacity with a copy of the rental contract and the electricity bill.

- 5 BHD : (Increase the maximum ceiling for commercial or Non-Commercial and Non-Government (NCNG) establishments and for establishments with recruiting manpower agency activity who want to increase their ceiling applications).

Service Processes
- Filling out the workload estimation application form .
- Ensuring that all required documents and date are complet. In the event that all the required documents and data are not submitted, the application will be rejected and returned to the applicant to complete the missing documents .
- If all the required documents are submitted, the applicant will be informed of the approval or rejection of the application .
- Fill in the Workload/ Ceiling Form available in the Required Documents section at LMRA website or client services counter.
- Submit the form supported with the required documents by visiting client services counter at LMRA headquarters- first floor.
- Once the work load application is submitted, LMRA employee will collect the admin fees from the commercial registration owner or his representative (Either by using the Point of Sale (POS) machine, or via his E-Key on Expat Management System (EMS)).
- Upon completion of the admin fees payment, the application will automatically be transferred for verification.
