Grievance Against the Absence from Work During the Verification Period (7 Days)
Through this service, expatriate employee can file a grievance against absence from work notification during 7 days of the submission date of the application.
Service Conditions
- Personal attendance at the Expatriate Services Directorate building in Sitra Industrial Area
- The existence of a labor dispute or court case prior to the date on which the notification was submitted by the employer in the system.
- Resignation of the worker before the date of submitting the notification and the presence of an intention to move in the system.
- The expatriate worker must complete at least half of the permit period to approve intention to transfer request.
- Proof that the worker’s service has been terminated by the employer (letter or e-mail to terminate the service) before or during the submission of absence from work request submitted by the employer
Required Attachments
- Passport or identity card.
- The worker’s grievance form against the notice of leaving work during the verification period
- A letter explaining the worker’s situation
- A copy of the intention to move and resign or the registered mail card, if any
- A copy of the labor complaint or court case, if any
- A police report, if any

Service Processes
- Personal attendance at the Expatriate Services Directorate building in Sitra Industrial Area
- The worker fills out an Absence from work grievance form during the verification period of the absence from work requests, attaching all documents available with him, and submitting it to the employee in charge of the Expatriate Services Department.
- The employee of the Expatriate Services Department checks all the documents submitted by the worker and compares them with the attachments in the Absence of work application submitted by the employer in the system to make an initial decision during the first phase.
- Transferring the request to an employee of the Application Evaluation Department, make a decision in the second phase.
- Transferring the application to the concerned team in the Business Owners Department for a final decision on the application to be made.
