Issuance of a permit for entrants to a work permit
Through this service, employers can apply for a work permit (attached to work)
Service Conditions
- The establishment, the applicant or the enrollee must not have any administrative notes that prevent the submission of a new work permit.
- The enrollee must have a work permit valid for at least 6 months.
- A No Objection Certificate must be attached to the work from the main worker of the enrollee.
- In the event that applications for specialized professions are submitted, a statement of approval from the professional body must be attached, such as (the Ministry of Education, the National Authority for Regulating Health Professions and Services, the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, the Engineering Professions Regulatory Committee).
Required Attachments
- Copy of the workers ID card.
- Copy of the worker’s passport: The passport must include all information, amendments, or updates. In addition to the page that contains the name of the father or husband (for workers of Indian, Pakistani, and Bengali nationalities) and the page containing the old passport number. The passport must be valid for at least 6 months, preferably for at least two years before submitting the application.
- Copy of a valid license from the related authority for Non-commercial Institutions and non- governmental organizations.
- copy of the work contract or job offer between the employer and the foreign employee (one or two pages maximum): The job offer should be on the company’s letterhead or official governmental paper. It must include the name of the employer and the establishment address, the name of the foreign employee, passport number, nationality, occupation of the employee, salary, employment, and notice periods. It should be signed by the employer and the employee and should bear the seal/ stamp of the employer. It should state that the offer is subject to successful application of the work permit.
- Copy of Certificate of Non-Reluctance from the Competent Professional entities.
- No objection letter from the husband with your residence permit attached at least 6 months.
- Private sector: The bill of the last 2 months of the same address. If the electricity bill id not yet issued, you need to upload a print- out from the electricity and water authority indicating an opening for that specific account. If electricity bill is not your, you must an upload the lease contract. The bill should not be a final notification to cut the electricity supply. Current account guarantee deposit bonds are not accepted expect for the newly registered record.

- Resolution No. (76) of 2008 regulating work permits for foreigners other than the category of domestic workers and its amendments.
Fees
- 172 BD : Depends on the status of the expatriate worker and the duration of the chosen work permit - for one year, including health insurance fees.
- 250 BD : for a year for work permits aside from Bahrainisation rate
- 5 BD : administrative fees calculated from the monthly bill
