Request for the Setup of an eKey Account (Standard Level)

The standard eKey provides a good level of security, as the user is required to enter only the personal number and the password to access the eservices. This type of eKey can be created online and will be available for use instantly.

Service Conditions

Minimum age 15 years
A personal number is required for all applicants (Bahraini or non-Bahraini). If the applicant is a citizen of a Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) country and does not have a personal number, their GCC card must be activated.

Legal Regulations

Decree No. 36 of 2018 regulating the technical requirements for sending, receiving and updating the e-records and signatures of public bodies.
Law No. (7) of 2019 regulating the registration of births and deaths. Regulatory resolutions are being prepared as follows:
A draft resolution on the issuance of the executive by laws
A resolution regulating procedures for registering and issuing birth and death certificates
An organizational resolution regarding the procedures of the Births and Deaths Department.
