Request the issuance of a birth certificate

This service, provided by the Information and eGovernment Authority, allows Bahraini citizens and residents to request a birth certificate for newborns and pay the fees online.

Service Conditions

Birth certificate is issued based on the birth form issued by the maternity hospital and the form is stamped and signed by the hospital. None of the recorded data can be modified except after a court ruling is issued to amend the data issued in the birth certificate.

Required Attachments

Newborn notification form
Copy of the ID card/ passports of the parents
Copy of the marriage contract / proof of marriage certificate
A copy of the notification information about the newborn printed using the e-service and signed by the applicant

Legal Regulations

Law No. (7) of 2019 regulating the registration of births and deaths

Fees

0.5 BD : for a birth certificate to be issued within a week from the date of the notification, and the fee is doubled in the event that it is urgently issued within 48 hours
