Issuing licenses for event organizers to establish and organise a local or international exhibition or conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain

It includes examing licence applications for exhibitions and conferences submitted by the organisers to the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority and issuing approvals.

Required Attachments

  • An official letter stating the name of the exhibition or conference, its objectives, location, date of its establishment, and the goods and products that will be displayed therein, in addition to the topics of the conference
  • A profile of the exhibition/conference, or a summary of its nature, or an analytical study of the exhibition/study should be attached to the letter, along with a list of participants or exhibitors
  • A copy of the commercial register of the exhibition or conference organizer, provided that the register includes the activity of organizing commercial exhibitions and conferences
  • A copy of the applicants ID Card
  • A written consent from the site owner to organize the exhibition or conference, or attach a copy of the lease contract for the place where the exhibition or conference will be held

Service Processes

  • Receive a request letter, via e-mail pfd@btea.bh, from the organizer to hold the exhibition or conference after making sure that the request contains the name of the requested event, its objectives, location and date, the list of participants or exhibitors, and the goods and products to be displayed or sold at the exhibition
  • Examine the request by specialists and making recommendations to the director of the department
  • Grant the initial approval to organize the event
  • Request the list of exhibitors and their commercial registers, or the names and numbers of owners of the “productive house” licensed by the Ministry of Social Development (for exhibitions only)
  • Request the approval of other parties concerned with the event (for example, exhibitions and conferences related to universities, which require the approval of the Ministry of Education for the participants)
  • Issue the final license for the organizer after obtaining the approvals of other parties and authorizing the licensed exhibitors to participate in the exhibition.
