Stimulating creativity and innovation among government employees.
Launched from a belief in the importance of participation and development, the government innovation competition "Fikra" is a government initiative by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister. It aims to stimulate creativity and innovation among employees in the government sector by providing a platform for proposals on how to enhance government performance and the quality of public services in Bahrain, in line with Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Applications are reviewed by multiple committees and then evaluated by a high-level ministerial committee. The public is also given the opportunity to vote for their favorite ideas, which are then implemented by relevant government entities.
