The Bahrain government was quick to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic by enabling and regulating remote work for its employees. Thanks to the Information Communication Technology (ICT) readiness of the Bahrain government and early adoption of Cloud Computing in the public sector, the Information & eGovernment Authority (iGA) worked closely with other government agencies to ensure that all employees had the necessary tools and VPNs to work from home. As a result, thousands of government employees were able to transition to remote work with no downtime in government services.
