Aviation 

The Civil Aviation Affairs in Bahrain is responsible for organizing, controlling, and supervising all activities related to civil aviation in the Kingdom. This includes the issuance of technical regulations related to air transport, air navigation, and airworthiness, which are applicable to all aircraft operating in the country. The department also issues licenses, permits, and certificates for various activities, such as aircraft registration, personnel licensing, aircraft operations, and flight schedules. Furthermore, it provides meteorological services, including weather reports, forecasts, and other meteorological information, to ensure safe and efficient air transportation in the region. 

Bahrain International Airport, established in 1927, was the first airport in the Gulf and played a crucial role in connecting the East and the West. Khalifa Bin Salman Port  (KBSP) which opened on April 1st, 2009, is well positioned to be a premier hub for the Northern Arabian Gulf shipment of goods.
