Bahrain was home to ancient civilisations such as Dilmun and Tylos that date as far back as the third millennium BC. Over the decades, several expeditions have uncovered links to its rich past, and these archaeological sites still form part of the Kingdom’s unique heritage. Today, two are inscribed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites and welcome tourists from around the world.
