  • Experience:
The applicant must have a general secondary school certificate or equivalent with a grade point average at least 70% where the admission will be done in a competitive manner

   Required Documents

For all applications:

  1. Applicant form (Application for Admission to Undergraduate Programs)
  2. Copy of a valid Identity Card and Passport
  3. Four recent personal photographs (size 3x4 cm)
  4. The application fee of 10BD (nonrefundable)

 

  • First university year student:
  1. The General Secondary Certificate:
  • For government schools students: The original certificate and a copy of the certificate ratified by the specialized entity in Ministry of Education and a transcripts shows the accumulated average with a copy of it.
  • For private schools students: The original certificate and a copy of the certificate ratified by the specialized entity in Ministry of Education and a transcripts shows the accumulated average with a copy of it.

 

  • Transfer Student
  1. A recent academic record of the student certified by his original university

 

  • Visiting student
  1. A recent academic record of the student certified by his original university
  2. Letter addressed to the Dean of Admission & Registration at the University of Bahrain from the competent authority at the original university of the student stating their agreement to his studying in the required courses of one semester

General requirements of Admission:

  1. The applicant must have received a general secondary certificate or equivalent no more than two years ago
  2. The applicant must pass a general aptitude test and interviews conducted by the University; for government schools in Arabic, for private schools in English
  3. The applicant must successfully pass any test or personal interview set by the University Council
  4. The applicant must be physically fit
  5. The applicant must be of good conduct

College specific admission requirements:

  1. The general secondary certificate must be related to the specified colleges allocated to each of them
  2. The priority for admission to the colleges will go to those who have met all the conditions, according to the capacity of the academic program and competitive rate based on the results of the secondary school and admission tests as well as the personal interview

 

Rules and Regulations for Transferring to the University of Bahrain:

  1. The student must not have been suspended from any program at the University of Bahrain
  2. The student must not have been suspended in the original university for more than one semester at the time of requesting the transfer
  3. The student must provide a recent certified academic record
  4. The student must be a full-time student in the original university
  5. The student must not have had any punitive procedure taken against him in the original university
  6. If the student has graduated from one of the programs that award Diploma/Associate Diploma offered by the University of Bahrain and his cumulative GPA at that time did not qualify him to be admitted to a Bachelor degree program, that student is not allowed to transfer to the University of Bahrain again
  7. The general secondary school certificate that the student has obtained (literature, science, commercial, industry, unified tracks) must be accepted by the program that the student wants to transfer to
  8. The student must have successfully passed 30 credit hours or their equivalent in their original university and his cumulative GPA is not less than 2.33 out of 4 (C+) or its equivalent in other academic grade systems
  9. The Deanship of Admission & Registration reviews transfer requests in a competitive manner depending on the general rules of transfer and the specific regulations of the colleges
  10. The admission only applies for the semester in which the transfer student was accepted in, and in case the student does not start his studies in that semester, then his admission will be cancelled
  11. The academic department will evaluate the academic record of the student and specifies the courses that need to be exempted from, depending on the conditions of equating courses
  12. The process of transferring courses will only take place before the beginning of the first semester the student is being admitted. No further transfers will be accepted after that

 

Rules and regulations for the visiting student:

  1. The student must be a full time student in a recognized university
  2. The student must be elected by his original university to study specific courses at the University of Bahrain, and the results will be sent at the end of the semester to his original university for the purpose of transferring the course(s)
  3. The section(s) should have available seats in the requested courses
  4. Visiting students are registered after the end of the (Add or drop) period in the courses which have available seats
